Accessibility

Updated: January 2025

The Wyoming Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI) Program is committed to accessibility. It is our policy to ensure that everyone, including persons with disabilities, has full and equal access to this website and the resources/information posted on it.

The Wyoming EHDI Program strives to meet Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 and PDF/Universal Accessibility (PDF/UA) to ensure our digital offerings are compliant with the Americans with Disabilities (ADA) Act and Sections 504 and 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.

Here are some of the measures that the Wyoming EHDI Program has taken to meet these guidelines:

  • Descriptive alt text is assigned to every meaningful image on our website;
  • Our website is navigable without a mouse, by keyboard only, and we use a focus indicator to highlight interactive elements on our website;
  • We provide closed captioning on all videos;
  • We ensure that all text to background color contrast meets a 4.5:1 ratio;
  • We are working towards making the PDFs hosted on our site to be in compliance with the PDF/UA minimum standards;
  • We include a skip navigation link on all pages of our website and maintain a consistent and predictable layout throughout our website; and
  • Beyond our existing remediation measures, we continually review our website to ensure we adhere to best practices in web accessibility.

The Wyoming EHDI Program is committed to accessibility. If you have any ideas of how we can improve it on this website, please email us at info@wyomingehdi.org.
